Gombe state governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo condemns sack of Nigerian woman who criticized Aisha Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo online

Over the weekend, reports surfaced online that a Nigerian woman, Bolouere Opukiri, lost her job a week after criticising Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha, on Twitter.

Opukiri had on July 5th 2017, tweeted that the then acting president Osinbajo is ‘a novice’ for travelling out of the country at a time President Buhari was receiving medical treatment in London and tension was flaring between the executive and the legislature.

In another post five days later, Ms Opukiri threw a shade at Mrs Buhari for tweeting about some ‘hyenas’ and ‘jackals’ within her husband’s inner circle, suggesting that Ms Buhari might not be as ‘classy’ as former first lady, Patience Jonathan.

The two tweets and other similar rants against Buhari administration figures were subsequently chronicled by some pro-government netizens and sent to the presidency and she was afterwards dismissed from service after it was investigated.

The presidential amnesty office, where Ms Opukiri worked at the media unit, saw her abuse of ‘government official’ as a threat to national security and summarily dismissed her as recommended by the public service rules.

Governor Dankwambo via his twitter handle this morning, condemned her sack and asked President Buhari to look into it. See his tweet below
